Message from the President

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. It is with great pleasure that I extend my warmest greetings and welcome to the upcoming convention in New York City at the New York Hilton Midtown

As President, I am deeply honored to have the opportunity to invite you and your esteemed members to join us for this significant event.  Can you believe it has been 20 years since our last NYC convention?  Our convention serves as a platform for auxiliary members, industry leaders, professionals, and enthusiasts alike to come together, exchange ideas, and explore innovative solutions to the challenges facing our communities.

During this year’s theme, Engaging Our Generations, A Call to Action to Preserve Our Legacy, the Annual convention gives us an opportunity to showcase your local community involvement and how we can continue the progress for inclusive health care education and health equity.  As the support arm of the NMA, we are on a mission to encourage and educate our physician spouses and affiliate partners to mitigate health disparities.

This year’s convention promises to be an enriching experience, featuring thought-provoking discussions, and interactive workshops led by some of the most distinguished experts in their fields. It is an excellent opportunity for networking, learning, and forging valuable connections that can propel us forward in our shared goals. We welcome members old and new to join us during this fabulous time in NYC.

We will start off with our signature activities held in conjunction with the NMA; Walk a Mile with a Child on Saturday and ANMA/NMA Prayer Breakfast on Sunday morning.   The ANMA “Marketplace” will continue to bring exciting vendors bring unique products for your perusal. As always, we will plan exciting social activities such as a Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner Cruise on the Hudson River and Harlem Bus Lunch Tour.

Your presence at the convention would not only contribute to the success of the event but also enrich the discourse with your unique perspectives and expertise. We believe that your participation will be crucial in enhancing the collaborative spirit among attendees.

Please mark your calendars for August 3rd -August 7th, and be sure to register early to help us with planning.  We are confident that this convention will be a memorable and rewarding experience for all involved.

Once again, thank you for considering the 2024 Convention.  We eagerly anticipate your presence and participation at the upcoming convention. Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to contact ANMA National Office at 301-495-3779 or

With warm regards,
Maria Bright
